The AUX input of the Auna 182TT allows devices such as cassette decks or CD players to be connected. This discreet, light-weight unit fits into the smallest space, only requiring a little shoulder room for the integrated speakers. At this price, I was not expecting sublime audio quality so I found the onboard speakers surprisingly loud and the sound quality more than adequate for such a compact unit. When connected to my stereo speakers, the sound was even better. The playing arm is delicate-looking but the lightness makes it possible to drop the needle with great accuracy. The auto-stop function works flawlessly (but not all records are so enabled, so it depends on the record). Being familiar with Audacity, I found the process of digitazing music to be extremely easy. Basically you connect the player to a computer via the USB cable, start the record playing and record the sound wave in Audacity. You then export it as MP3 or WAV or whatever. This player has more than met my expectations and I'm delighted to have access once again to my old vinyl collection.
