NUMAN’s Retrospective 1979 S is a full-featured two-way speaker with many talents. This compact musical device does not remotely leave out musical qualities and versatility: whether as a wall speaker, or a shelf speaker, in HiFi operation or in the background of a respective home cinema ensemble.
Dynamic, self-assured and powerful-sounding
CONVINCING INTERIOR
Despite its compact size, the passive membrane construction with a 10 cm (4”) woofer enables surprisingly good bass possibilities. The 10 cm (4”) midrange, tweeter with silk dome and a sophisticated crossover ensure a balanced sound image and true playback pleasure.
Thanks to its excellent near-field properties, the 1979 S is also ideal as a desktop and bookshelf speaker, and in operation as a wall speaker it benefits from its clearly accentuated bass response.
The 1979 S is particularly interesting for all cinema fans and lovers of multi-channel sound formats, as it can be used as a satellite speaker expansion to completely open new surround sound perspectives and expand HiFi combination possibilities. Due to its precise response and excellent sound level for its size, the 1979 S sounds amazingly lively.
