The vacuum cleaner recognizes stairs and other drops and automatically adjusts to carpeted or hard surfaces.
A Virtual Wall® Lighthouse™ (3 included) limits the Roomba to one room until the entire surface is cleaned - only after will it move to the next room. When it needs recharging or the cleaning is finished the Roomba automatically makes its way back to the Home Base™ to dock and recharge.
