Rohema Percussion is an eastern German, family-run company
now in its 5th generation. Founder Robert Eduard Hellinger, from the
German state of Saxony, first started production in 1888 in the town of Markneukirchen.
The company first began making drumsticks and batons, and has since moved into
the production of beaters and rhythm instruments. This experience over more
than 100 years has given Rohema products a superior quality.
The Rohema Classic Series is made from hickory wood. This
hickory wood, imported from North America, features a combination of strength,
rigidity, durability, elasticity and shock resistance, unlike any other wood in
the wood. This long durability doesn’t just stem from the type of wood, but
also from the 9A strength of the Rohema sticks. This added toughness ensures
greater quality, and means you won't have pieces of your sticks breaking off
and flying past your ears.
With the barrel tips and correct playing technique, you can
achieve the fattest sounds with your drum kit. Sticks with barrel tips are
primarily designed for loud, assertive playing. This is made possible by the size of the surface that hits
the drum or cymbal at a shallower angle.
