Ortofon once revolutionized the DJ market with the design of
their Concorde pickup systems. Today, you’ve got a whole range of different
pickup types for a variety of different applications. Most DJs have long had
the problem of not being able to properly see where they are placing the needle
as they are typically forced to work with headshell systems. Ortofon quickly
recognized this problem and developed the Concorde pick up system. A great
feature of the Concorde Systems is handling. Positioning the pickup on a
certain point on the record is a lot easier than with the OM/Headshell versions
thanks to the pickup systems optimal leveling. Another advantage of the Ortofon
Concorde is the ability to easily attach the pickup to the tone arm with the
SME standard screw connection. The Concorde DJ S system is great for use in the
clubs and can handle even the hardest of nights without a problem. This bas
model for scratching and back cueing is extremely well balanced and features an
attractive blue Nylon finish.
The spherical needle is great for scratching thanks to more
stability in the grooves and also helps to protect your records at the same
time. In addition, the Concorde DJ S system offers a high output voltage of 6
mV and a frequency response of 20 to 18,000 Hz.
