The Panorama P4 captivates on first glance with its inspired
design. The keyboard is clearly structured and split up according to different
functions. This way, it is the perfect partner for using with computers and
software both in the studio and on stage. Its front panel has been angled to
allow comfortable access to all controls and optimal visibility for the
high-resolution display in the centre of the keyboard.
The weighted 49-key keyboard has been specially developed
for the Panorama P4. Five different velocity curves are offered, each optimised
for dynamics and responsiveness. Whether it’s a hard hit or gentle touch,
there’s the perfect velocity curve for every style. The level of creative
freedom is further expanded with monophonic aftertouch and a split feature with
up to for zones that can be toggled even whilst playing.
The Panorama P4 features plenty of controls for use with
software. A total of 90 controls can have MIDI messages directly assigned to
them. Switches and pads can be assigned ASCII commands in order, for example,
to send shortcut commands directly to Reason. Up to 20 of these parameter and
command assignments can be saved as presets. You’ll also find a 100mm motorised
With the hi-res TFT display, the Panorama P4 delivers all
the information that any musician wants to know about their instrument:
controller status, switch assignment, menu navigation and much more. The 3.5"
(9cm) graphic display is easy to read from any angle and perfectly matches the
design of the Panorama P4 with its black background.
On the right-hand side of the P4 you’ll find 12 touch and
pressure-sensitive pads with selectable velocity curves. The pads can be easily
programmed with the note memory function and saved as pad maps in the 20 banks.
The “Velocity Spread” function assigns an individual note simultaneously to all
12 pads, each with its own fixed velocity level for extremely nuanced playing
(just like the legendary Akai MPC). The scale function assigns notes from a
defined scale for percussive melodies with the keyboard sounds of your choice.
Intervals can be changed at any time whilst playing or the entire scale
The Panorama P4 has been matched to Propellerhead’s Reason
unlike any other controller keyboard: Fully transparent and with complete
access to all functions. Each individual Reason device can be easily displayed
with full parameters on the Panorama’s display. By switching from mixer to
instrument or transport mode, you can completely reconfigure the whole keyboard
with just the press of a button. Even if you’re not interested in editing
sounds, but would rather use sounds from Reason’s library, you’ll experience
access to Reason like never before with the P4. Every patch name appears whilst
scrolling through the sounds. Combined with Reason, the Panorama is a real
