The flanger pedal from Chord is an effects pedal for a classic jetplane sound sweeping through the amps. When using the flanger pedal, the input signal is first divided into two signal branches, one of which is delayed in time when being fed through to the mixer stage. The time delay is varied continuously in a small area (about 1 to 20 milliseconds), thereby resulting in small fluctuations up and down in the pitch. The superposition with the unaltered original signal results in interferences that "migrate" due to the varying time delay and thereby resulting in the classic sweeping jet sound! The sound of this effect is often described as a synthetic, psychedelic or "spacey". It's now used not only for guitars, but is often also built directly into CD players for use at any time. The flanger is a must-have for guitarists who don't play pop music - it's integral to rock.
Thanks to its robust design, the analogue flanger pedal can withstand decades of rock music and promises truly psychedelic rock 'n' roll!
